The tours run by this company are very highly praised. They have a number of different tours and the guides a native english speakers who are young people who have studied all the history of ancient Rome and can answer all of your questions during this walking tour. The tour is limited to small groups so that everyone can receive the information personally. Sean, Liz and Emma are three of the guides and they seem to have the knack of making everything interesting and enjoyable. The cost is €25 a person with reductions for children and students but you do get an excellent tour and personal attention for this. They do all the standard tours but also some quirky ones like “Angels and Demons” and would you believe a “Cat Tour” to see some of the 250,000 plus cats that live in Rome and to learn of their role in history. They also have a Kids Tour - 17 euro per child.

2) St Peters Basilica
The great Basilica is open daily from 7 am to 7 pm but to 6 pm from October to March. If you take Linea A the Red metro line and get out at Ottaviano-San Pietro and you walk along Via Ottaviano to the Square. You can get some free guided tours of the Basilica run by seminarians and these last for about one hour. You can get information from the Information Desk beside the Post Office on St Peter’s Square - looking at the Basilica up near the church on your left. There are also English Guides of St Peters that start around 2.15 pm. Also many of the tour companies in Rome offer a free guide of St Peters on the hope you will join one of their Vatican Museum Tours afterwards! There is a very strict dress code in operation for entry to St Peters.
3) Tour of the Necropolis
This is a tour of the excavations of the “City of the Dead” under St Peter’s Bascilica. A very interesting tour costing about €12 but it just has to be booked in advance by contacting scavi@fsp.va.
4) Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel
This will allow you see the wonderful ceiling in the Sistine Chapel recently fully restored and a vision of real beauty. The museum is extensive and visiting these attractions involves much walking. The cost is about 14-15 euro. You may wish to take a tour so that you better appreciate the treasures and almost every tour operator runs such tours - ask at your hotel or at the Information Kiosk near the Post Office on St Peters Square - to the left as you face the doors of St Peters.
5) Rome by Night

6) Tour of Naples and Pompeii
This tour takes a full day and lasts all of 14 hours. It includes a short sightseeing tour of Naples and then lunch to Pompeii and a visit to the archaeological ruins. You also can have a look at the famous monastery of Montecassino from the coach. The meeting point for this tour is Vas Tours Terminal, Via Piemonte 32. Or you can be collected from certain hotels. 7) Hop on Hop off Bus Tour
a 24 hour for this Tour costs about €23 and the tour is about 1 and a half hours long but you can get on off at all the stops. It starts at the Green Line Tours Office, 5a Via Farini or you can get on at any of the stops on the way. Up early, it you want to go on the first trip of the day they may pick you up from your hotel if you are staying in the centre of Rome
8) Tour of Rome
This tour is great - great in that it covers almost everything
in three hours and gives you a great feel for the Rome and

) the city bus company. You can get tickets from the ATAC
kiosk in front of Termini Station. Tickets cost about 10-12
euro which makes it a good buy. The tour buses leave from
Piazza dei Cinquecento - that is the big square in front of
Termini Station. You will enjoy commentary on the sights as
well as an illustrated guide of the tour.
